FAQs
How do I schedule a first appointment?
Start by filling out the contact form. We’ll respond within 2 business days to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Not at this time. Currently, all sessions are offered online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
What can I expect in the first session?
We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what support might look like, and what feels most important to you right now. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. We can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals as therapy progresses.
Do you offer therapy to people outside of Illinois?
Not at this time. We are licensed to provide therapy to residents of Illinois only.
Can I work with you if I’m pregnant or postpartum?
Yes. We specialize in working with women during the perinatal period, including pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
Do you work with clients who don’t identify as moms?
Absolutely. While we specialize in maternal mental health, we also work with women navigating anxiety, stress, identity changes, relationship challenges, and burnout.
Are you a good fit for women who are also therapists or helping professionals?
Yes. We provide therapy to therapists and understand the emotional complexity that comes with holding both professional and personal roles.
Do you offer workshops or trainings?
Yes. We offer workshops for new moms, women’s wellness groups, and professional development trainings for early childhood educators. Visit our Workshops page for more info.
What if I’m not sure whether I need therapy or a workshop?
That’s okay. Reach out, and we can talk through what you’re looking for. We’ll help you figure out the best starting point.
What insurance do you accept?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and United Healthcare/UMR. If you have another plan, we can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
What if I have to cancel or reschedule?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
How do I know if this is the right fit?
That’s what the consultation is for. You’ll get a sense of how your therapist works, and we’ll talk through any questions or concerns you have. No pressure.
You don’t have to hold it all alone. Reach out today.
If your question isn’t here, please reach out, we’re happy to help.
